Meet Our New Blogger, Heidi

Hello Goodsmiths readers!

This is what Heidi looks like in non-cartoon form.

I’m very excited to join the Goodsmiths team as a blogger. I love me some Midwestern friendliness, and when I was asked to start contributing to a Midwestern-based site, I was super psyched to become part of “the marketplace for makers.”

I’ve been blogging about crafts at my blog, Hands Occupied, for a couple years now, and I’m completely hooked. (If any of you out there are Craft Gossip fans, I am their Candle Making Editor too.) By day I’m a librarian in the suburbs, and by night I spend my time with my husband, two dogs and craft supply collection in our Chicago apartment. Living in the city is SO FUN, and it’s led to some super cool opportunities. I love teaching craft workshops and making crafts part of every day of my life.

Enough about stuff I do! I have a laundry list of craft project tutorials to share with you guys, but if you ever want to request I do something in particular, drop me a line at heidi[at]goodsmiths[dot]com, and I’ll see if I can make it happen.
