hello from our newest goodsmiths blogger, michelle
Hi! I’m Michelle, and the newest blogger here at Goodsmiths. I’m an avid crafter, and I’m thrilled to be blogging here about paper crafting and photography!
I have to confess, though, that I haven’t always been a crafter. In fact, about 10 years ago paper crafting frustrated me. I had tried scrapbooking and card making, but I could never cut anything straight with scissors and my projects were disasters. I loved the idea of playing with all of the paper and supplies, but I was awful at it.
Then I discovered the paper trimmer, a nifty tool that takes all of the effort out of cutting paper straight. And it changed my life! My projects looked so much better, and I became obsessed with scrapbooking, card making and creating anything with paper and adhesive. Eventually I became the editor of a scrapbooking magazine, and now I chronicle my crafting adventures on my own craft blog, Squeal Worthy. I’ve even branched out to knitting, embroidery and making home décor projects, and I hope to add crocheting to the list this year!
So my first piece of advice to you is whatever crafting projects you’re embracing, be sure you have the right tools. They make everything easier and let you put the focus on your creativity! It really makes a difference.
Stay tuned for more crafting fun, and please let me know what you’d like to know about photography and paper crafting.
