Jewelry box face lift
This summer I am all about minimizing, organizing and updating. Which adds on to my post from last week of organizing my jewelry pile. This week I am updating my 15-year-old jewelry box — I believe I received it as a birthday present at some point in my early teens. There really isn’t any sentimental value to it but jewelry boxes are expensive! This simple, quick and inexpensive update completely transformed the “old” jewelry box into a fun pop of color!
What you will need:
- craft paint
- foam brush
- screw driver (optional)
- pliers (optional)
First start by wiping down the jewelry box (mine was quite dusty), and then start to disassemble by taking out drawers, taking off hinges, knobs, etc. Once everything is taken apart, I wiped down the items again to make sure there wasn’t any additional particles. Next start painting! For this particular box, it took three coats of paint. Once everything is dry reassemble the hinges, knobs, drawers, etc., and, easy as that, you are complete!
