Goodsmiths Updates: Introducing Guest Checkout and the New Profile Page

We’ve been listening to your requests and feedback, and we’re happy to deliver two major new features today! Guest checkout and a brand new, visual profile page.

With guest checkout, buyers can now add items to their bags, go through the checkout process and make purchases (using either PayPal or Dwolla)* without signing up for a Goodsmiths account. Of course, we hope they choose to sign up for a Goodsmiths account to take advantage of the rad sharing features, but we understand that anonymous purchasing is important to some people. For shop owners, this is one of the many features we’ve rolled out (plus more coming soon) that separate us from the rest of the online markets.

We’ve also released a brand new profile page! It’s more visual than ever and shows a long stream of images that highlight your friends’ activity. You’ll still see a breakdown of your items admired, who follows you, and who you’re following (it’s all in the left-hand column), but we think the breaking news should take precedence, right? Here’s an example of what you’ll see next time you log in to your profile:
