Quad Cities Mamas Market
Last weekend Goodsmiths had the opportunity to sponsor and attend the first ever Mamas Market in the Quad Cities (IA). The Mamas Market was put on by Quad City Mom’s Blog and it featured local Mamas (or Papas, Daughters and Sons for that matter) showcasing their handmade goods and home based businesses. They also held interactive workshops throughout the event for the whole family, including the Goodsmiths DIY at which we taught patrons how to create this Recipe Card Holder. We had a great time at the event and got to meet some very talented makers!
Here are some photos of the event
Do you have markets supporting makers in your community? If so we would love to hear about them! If not, check out Goodsmiths.com to buy handmade!

Hello,
Sorry I missed out on this event, I will have to look for it next year. To be in the company of all those creative people would be thrilling.
The Farmer’s Market in DesMoines, Iowa is a great place to sell hand made items. The crowd is always wonderful and has such an energy to it. I think people are looking for items that they know were made with love, it then, has more meaning to them.
Hand made items to me are inspirational, coming straight from a persons heart and soul. They give you insight into the story of that person, where they’ve come from.
That is what I want people to understand about my custom rubber stamps…they are designed and carved especially for them and that gives me great joy. I love to see the look on their faces when they see the stamp, it makes my day!
Thanks for letting us know about this great venue!
